Coach Williams started her coaching career in 2002 at Wheatland High School as the Head Freshmen volleyball coach. From 2002-2005 Coach Williams was Club Momentum 14s out of Loomis, CA head volleyball coach. She enjoyed coaching and mentoring young girls that in 2006 Willams accepted the role as JV head coach at Sacramento Charter High School. Coach Williams spent a few years preparing her JV team for varsity and later decided to stop coaching to focus on work and her growing family.
Coach Marisha attended Hiram Johnson West Campus High School where she was a two-sport athlete. Her sports of choice were volleyball & basketball. Coach Marisha had excelled as a freshman earning her starting positions on the varsity squad for both sports. She was her team’s captains and earned numerous awards, such as team MVP and Prep of the Week (volleyball) which was featured in her local newspaper, The Sacramento Bee. She also made the All-Star Optimist volleyball team her senior year. Her freshmen year she assisted her team in earning 11th in the State title. Williams also played two years at ARC and earned team MVP and was a team captain.

This will be Coach Marisha's 2nd year with True Grit Strikers VBC. She had an awesome season last year focusing on fundamentals. Williams has always had the passion for volleyball and enjoys working with young girls focusing on proper technique and understanding of the game. Preparing the girls for their high school careers is one of her goals. As a parent of 3 boys, with one in high school, Marisha brings experience to her coaching and it enables her to better understand the concerns of the girls and parents involved in club volleyball.
